SLMDC SUSTAINABILITY

SLMDC believes that projects can be sustainable only if a three dimensional approach towards project planning and development is adopted. A project or a development is sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The three dimensions of sustainability are given below;

A universally accepted definition of sustainability remains elusive because it is expected to achieve many things. Many researchers suggest or believe that the relationship between the three pillars of sustainability is such that both economy and society are constrained by environmental limits. On the other hand the following definition suggests that sustainable development is achieved at the confluence of the three constituents.

SLMDC adds a new dimension “Culture” to the above mix while planning and developing projects and schemes.
